By definition, electrical conductance is a reciprocal of the resistance and is a measure of the current carried between two electrodes separated by one centimeter and having a cross sectional area of one square centimeter. The specific conductivity is usually expressed as mhos per square centimeter (mhos/cm2) at 25° C.
